"everybody's saying everything is alright"--travis
hey hey my loves
welll...sorry i would have updated yesterday but i was pretty sick, so i had no energy to do that.
anyhooo..matt and i left around 1 to go get the train to jersey (sorry, that's NEW jersey) to go meet up with that guy we had met in Vegas. So we got there eventually, lol. actually it only takes about 10 mins to actually get to jersey, and then it was about a 35 min ride from there...so on the train ride i spent the entire time looking out the window...there were TREES and GREEN and HOUSES!! new jersey is sooo cute, it just looks like small-town setting, with little streets and actual places to drive your cars and things like that. after gary picked us up, i just stared out the window (again) thinking, i could totally live here..maybe it was the quiet we experienced as we stepped off the train, or the calmness of the town, or the ability to drive or the bed, bath and beyond next to the TJ maxx that made it feel a little bit more normal. Another thing about it was once we stepped off the train it was like it had all of a sudden turned a little cold..so glad i brought my jacket...it was so nice to actually feel 70 degree weather in september.
anyways, we went to their office and looked around, then went to the grocery store and it was a REAL one, it was the closest thing to HEB that i've seen here, and the prices were cheaper of course, than in the city. we drove back to their house, and sat and watched Top Gun, while Dick brought us some drinks, and this was probably the beginning of what i should never have started. i mean, granted, it was some mango drink that looked like a margarita (my fav), but...hmm, then i had a screwdriver or something, and started to feel queasy...anyway, for dinner, pork chops and stuff...i'm not a huge pork chop fan, and it will probably stay that way until i can get over how i felt last night. so we left there about 930 and i just felt horrible all the way home. luckily, our lazy butts decided to take the subway from penn station back to times square (only 10 blocks away from our house, but subway is easier..lol) and outside times square, i saw my first real act of violence i think.
it's interesting to me i think that just the night before i saw some NYPD cop posing for pictures with some ladies, and LAST night i saw one pinning down some guy and maceing his eyes..and he wouldn't stop...and of course, there was quite a crowd surrounding him..it was interesting to say the least, matt and i just stood there wondering exactly what caused the incident, but to no avail...plus i was about to toss my cookies i think...anyways, we got home...needless to say i was in bed at 11, thinkin gi felt better, but when at 3am i woke up again ..or not woke up but got out of bed since i dont' think i really even fell asleep to begin with...i felt better anyway after that, and woke up this mornign to the sound of a text message from boyfriend :)..then my mom called and i told her i would call her back sinc ei was still sleeping...
